Knowlton talks with attorney and family after bond hearing
TOPEKA, Kan., Sept. 20 - His relatives expect Richard Knowlton, the former state Lottery employee named in theft charges, to make bond in another day or so.
A judge in Topeka yesterday lowered the bond from 200-thousand dollars to 70-thousand dollars. The judge also placed restrictions on Knowltonís release and ordered a search of his home. Under the restrictions he must have almost no contact with his son and daughter. Theyíre potential witnesses. Knowlton must not leave home without notifying a court services officer. He cannot use any computer equipment and must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet at all times.
